We’re awkward in front of a camera. Help!
Ok, so this isn’t a question so much as a common concern nearly every couple voices to us when they first reach out. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! We have good news, you don’t have to worry about what to do with your hands! We don’t expect you to be professional models. We’ll give you easy instructions, asking you to move and interact together in ways that allow us to capture candid moments in a flattering style. We give prompts and directions that include movements, words, and feelings. During photo sessions, you'll sometimes forget we're right there. When viewing your finished photos, you'll think something like "Woah…I didn't realise we could look so rad/adorable/adventurous/playful on camera." At least, this has been our experience so far!
Do you shoot Elopements?
Yes! We absolutely love elopements as we feel we create a better connection with our couples and we get more intimate photo sessions!
Can we meet before booking?
Heck yes! We love making sure we are on the same page! Lets grab a coffee or set up that Zoom chat so we can talk more!
When is the best time for a wedding around the south island?
The weather reports you see online aren’t normally what we see on the ground. Conditions change very easily in the South Island due to the surrounding mountains and lakes.
The most optimal weather for shooting is from October until April, with November being the perfect time for the lupins to be out. Remember to check those lows when you are researching what time of year to shoot, you don’t want to be freezing your butt off!
should we book a Helicopter?
Being whisked away in your private helicopter is the ultimate experience and also creates photos unlike no other. We can recommend certain spots for you and organise the helicopter ride, or you can book it all yourself! They also give you a chance to get away from your guests and really enjoy your day!
We aren’t sure on locations yet. Can you help?
For sure! We pride ourselves on being a resource to couples in many forms. We’ll team up with you to find the perfect location. It’s part of our role as your guide. We have a huge list of spots we have saved over the years + good knowledge on what to look for in a location (even if it’s on the other side of the world). A big part of a smooth elopement/wedding day is preparation + organisation.
